Update from Kim below and new prayers needed. Please pray for her husband, Scott and her two boys (both adults) as they work through their feelings during this difficult time. Prayers for successful surgeries.... from Kim: MRI shows the cancer has spread but is contained to the one side which is great! They confirmed I will need a mastectomy on that side and they will do a biopsy during that time to see if spread to lymph nodes. They will determine stage after surgery, but from outside they continue to believe it’s at an early stage so overall positive news! The first surgery is scheduled for 8/21, second one 9/2. Thank you for the prayers, I have felt them!!

God, thank you for all the ways you have been at work in helping our marriage. So much good stuff has been happening. Help us to keep remembering that. And please help us to continue to work to heal the places where brokenness had been and sometimes resurfaces despite our best efforts.

Please pray for my daughter, Kristin as she faces knee surgery this coming Wednesday and then heart surgery a few weeks later. I pray that God, our Heavenly Father guide the surgeon's hands in both surgeries to restore healing and health. I pray thanks for the kindness and knowledge of the surgeons doing each surgery. I pray that Kristin feel Christ's peace and comfort as she goes through surgery and recovery. I pray this through His precious son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
