Please pray for a family friend, Tim. He’s in his late 20s and just found out that he has a sarcoma tumor in his leg (it broke his leg) and has spread to his lungs. He will start chemo very soon.

Please pray for JJ and the students and staff at Carmen High School NW. One of his seniors died in a car wreck last night. His words about her reflect how much he cares about his students... "She was fairly popular. She was one of my 'problem' students last year who was my buddy by the end of the year. Always had a smile and greeting for me. She was a front-runner for prom queen."

One of the most difficult aspects of cancer treatments is the encouraging news tempered by discouraging news tempered by an unanticipated side effect and the resulting roller coaster of emotions that accompany this period of perpetual adjustment. For all those dealing with a cancer diagnosis in this congregation, I ask that we pray that they are held in the arms of our Lord for comfort, strength and encouragement.
